CHINA-RUSSIA SUMMIT ON UKRAINE, OLYMPICS AND THE U.S.
On Wednesday 12-15-21 Presidents Ping and Putin met by video summit to discuss issues such as Ukraine, U.S. aggression, and China helping Russia with the fallout if it invaded Ukraine, namely financial sanctions and U.N. Security Council Veto. Unlike the U.S. and its allies who are exercising a diplomatic boycott of Olympic Games, Russia and China will be in full attendance. There were no formal alliances declared between the two nations, but each voiced support for the other. The issue of China-Taiwan- U.S. relations though not formally and publicly disclosed also are a hit button. GWU Prof. Charles Glasser, Former State Dept. official Stephen Haas, and Russia politics Professor Sam Greene join the podcast discussion.
