FEDERAL SEX TRAFFICKING TRIAL OF GHISLAINE MAXWELL, FORMER JEFFREY EPSTEIN ASSOCIATE, RESUMES JURY DELIBERATIONS MONDAY
The Southern District of New York resumes its federal sev trafficking trial of Ghislaine Maxwell Monday 12-27-21. Maxwell is the defendant for crimes she allegedly committed while aiding and abetting her ex-friend, Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking and related crimes. The prosecutors called four witness- victims, now adults, to testify in the case. But the victims were minor- teenagers at the time they were recruited by her, and ultimately exploited by Epstein. The defendant's lawyers attack witness credibility based on a purported desire to attach Epstein's extensive financial assets. They portray their client as a scapegoat since the REAL culprit, Epstein, committed suicide not long after his arrest in 2019. Defense lawyers also attack the victims' memory with an expert psychologist, since the events occurred nearly twenty years ago. Featuring TV journalist Nancy Grace, Fox News host Julie Banderas, Northwestern Law Professor Andrew Stoltman, Cognitive Psychologist Elizabeth Loftus and John Jay College of Justice Dmitry Shekenovich.
